The CEO of RENA, Dr Tobias Lücke, has decided to accept an offer of a management position at a large international life sciences group. He will leave the company on 31 March 2017.
The Advisory Board and the shareholder greatly regret Dr Tobias Lücke's decision. Under his leadership, RENA has developed successfully over the past year. Working with the Management team, he was able to set a course for RENA's successful onward development. The Advisory Board wishes him well in his future endeavours.
From 11 March 2017, the RENA Management Board will consist of Bernd Kessler (CEO/Managing Director, on an interim basis) and Jürgen Ningelgen (CFO/Managing Director). Bernd Kessler will remain Chairman of the RENA Advisory Board.
The search for a successor for Dr Tobias Lücke is already underway.
Bernd F. Kessler, serves currently as Chairman since early 2015 and as interim CEO of RENA Technologies GmbH since March 2017.
In addition, he serves as a director of Polaris Industries Inc., From January 2008 through January 2010, Mr. Kessler was Chief Executive Officer of SRTechnics AG, one of the world’s largest independent aircraft, component and engine service provider.
From September 2004 through October 2007, Mr. Kessler was the President and Chief Executive Officer of MTU Maintenance, a subsidiary of MTU Aero Engines AG, an aero engine design, development, manufacturing and service company.
Prior to September 2004, Mr. Kessler held management and executive positions for 20 years at Honeywell International Inc., a diversified technology and manufacturing company, and at its predecessor company AlliedSignal Inc. Among other roles he held, Mr. Kessler led Honeywell’s Aerospace aftermarket services business with 27 facilities around the world.
Mr. Kessler earned a Masters of Business Administration degree from City University Bellevue (Washington) and graduated with a Dipl. Ing. (B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from Constance College (Germany).
Jürgen Ningelgen serves currently as Chief Financial Officer of RENA Technologies GmbH.
During the last 16 years, he has held several management positions in the Finance, Administration and Shared Services Department of RENA Technology and her predecessors. He started as controller, and worked later as Head of Finance and Controlling. Since 2010, Mr. Ningelgen was Head of Finance Department.
In 2015, Mr. Ningelgen was promoted to Vice President Finance and Administration. Since 2016, the Group-HR functions reports to him as well.
Prior to joining REAN he worked at DOBERGO as head of material Management.
Mr. Ningelgen earned a BA-degree in Economics from University Villingen-Schwenningen.
