SECS/GEM

What is SECS/GEM?

SECS (SEMI Equipment Communication Standards) and GEM (Generic Equipment Model) is the semiconductor industry's interface protocol for data communication between equipment and hosts. It is now used not only in the manufacture of semiconductors, but also in photovoltaic, LED, flat panel and electronics production.

What does the SECS/GEM make possible?

In an automated production company, the interface can start and stop the processing of devices, record measurement data, change variables and select recipes for products. The SECS/GEM standards make all this possible in a defined way.

Are the RENA wet systems equipped with this interface?

RENA Technologies supplies state-of-the-art solutions for the wet processing of semiconductors, glass and solar cells, etching wafers, cleaning wafers and stripping wafers. All RENA Technologies wet benches can be equipped with the SECS/GEM interface.
