Hands-on Training Strengthens Local Support in India
Practical experience with PV manufacturing equipment is essential for reliable technical support. Our colleagues from India travelled to RENA Technologies’ headquarters in Germany to expand their knowledge of the latest RENA PV systems. The training combined fabrication techniques with hands-on work in final assembly and commissioning at our production sites in Gütenbach and Mönchweiler.
Practical Training in Fabrication and Assembly
The program began with core fabrication skills used in wet processing equipment: welding thermoplastics such as PP, PVDF and PVC, infrared welding, and expanding and bending PFA tubing. Participants practised these techniques alongside experienced colleagues in Germany, gaining a deeper understanding of the materials and methods used in RENA systems.
The team then applied these skills directly to equipment in production. All participants took an active role in final assembly and commissioning, connecting individual fabrication tasks with the requirements of the complete PV system. Working on the equipment also provided opportunities to ask questions, exchange technical knowledge and discuss practical challenges encountered in the field.
Local Expertise for India’s Solar Industry
The knowledge gained in Germany supports our colleagues in providing professional on-site service for RENA machines for PV equipment in India. By learning directly from the teams involved in assembly and commissioning, they are better equipped to support customers locally and help maintain RENA’s high quality standards at customer sites.
For PV manufacturers in India, this means access to local technical expertise backed by close collaboration with RENA’s teams in Germany. This transfer of knowledge strengthens customer support and contributes to the development of a resilient PV manufacturing ecosystem in India.
Thank you to everyone involved for sharing their expertise and supporting the practical training. Our colleagues are now putting this experience to work for customers in the Indian solar industry.
