RENA Technologies Secures Major Order for 6 GW TOPCon Solar Cell Production Equipment in India from EMMVEE ENERGY

RENA Technologies, a renowned provider of advanced manufacturing equipment for the photovoltaic industry, today announced the signing of a significant contract for the supply of high-throughput solar cell production equipment with a total capacity of 6 GW. The order, placed by EMMVEE ENERGY PRIVATE LIMITED, a long-standing, India-based TIER1 solar cell manufacturer, represents another major step forward in strengthening domestic photovoltaic manufacturing in India. Furthermore, it underlines the trust in western production equipment and the successful partnership with RENA. 

The project will deploy enhanced production solutions tailored for TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) cell technology, one of the most advanced and efficient architectures in crystalline silicon photovoltaics. The scope of supply includes several units each of BatchTex 3 N600, InEtchSide 4+ BSG (Borosilicate Glass removal), InEtchSide 4+ PSG (Phosphosilicate glass removal), BatchEtch 3 N600, and BatchPolyClean 3 N600 for high-volume, high-yield manufacturing environments. To ensure highest level of competitiveness of our customer EMMVEE and environmental consciousness, the tools are equipped with the latest and most efficient water-, chemistry- and power-saving solutions on a very low footprint which results in significant OPEX savings for the customer.

In addition to the core production equipment, the contract encompasses integrated wastewater management systems for each tool, ensuring compliance with stringent environmental standards and supporting sustainable manufacturing operations while further reducing the effort and costs associated with wastewater treatment.

The agreement underlines the far-reaching partnership between EMMVEE and RENA as it includes a comprehensive service package featuring long-term on-site and remote service capabilities, 24/7 technical support, customer training programs, and a dedicated spare parts package to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency additionally backed by the RENA owned spare parts warehouse in Chennai, India.

The project will be executed in close collaboration with strategic partners, centrotherm and ISC Konstanz, combining complementary expertise to deliver a fully integrated and optimized production solution.
